Advanced Electron Devices Exam Calendar

The Course is devoted to fourth year students of Electronic Engineering. The main aspects of advanced electron devices are treated, including multi quantum well devices, carbon nanotubes, ferroelectric and ferromagnetic memories, optoelectronic devices. Design criteria of specific electron devices are also presented.

Topics for final graduation thesis: Design of advanced electron devices.

Fundamentals of Microelectronic Technologies Exam Calendar

This Course is for third year students of Electronic Engineering. All the most important technologies for Microelectronics are presented, including their physical and chemical aspects. Some brief aspects of III/V compound semiconductor technologies and nanotechnologies are also considered.

Topics for final graduation thesis: Technologies for electronic, optoelectronic and photonic devices.

Photonics Exam Calendar

This Course is devoted to fifth year students of Electronic Engineering. After considering a number of advanced optoelectronic and photonic devices (multi quantum well lasers and detectors, superlattice devices, modulators and so on), it is focused on modeling, design techniques and architectures of modern fiber optic telecommunications systems, with specific enphasis to their involved non linear effects. Other aspects concern with Silicon Photonics and photonic architectures for integrated optical sensing.

Topics for final graduation thesis: Modeling and design of photonic devices for sensing or telecommunications.

Fundamentals of Optoelectronics Exam Calendar

The Course is devoted to third year students of Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering. The basic physical aspects of optoelectronic devices are presented, including light emitting diodes, gas and semiconductor lasers, pin and avalanche photodiodes.

Topics for final graduation thesis: Physical features, applications and characteristics of main optoelectronic devices.
