Research interests are in parallel computing architectures and algorithms for application specific problems, with real time constraints.

Practical fields mainly (but not only) concern:

pattern recognition in high frame rate video acquisition
3-D medical imaging
artificial vision
image compression
data security
digital and image processing, etc.
